Humana 2019 initial MAPD certification will launch July 10, 2018.
All Re-certification courses will launch July 17, 2018. External agents will have until November 30, 2018 to complete re-certification.
To access Certification or Re-certification through Humana Vantage at www.Humana.com
Agents will again have the choice to complete initial MAPD training online without the requirement of attending a face-to-face class to obtain certification. Agents who complete the 2019 initial certification are allowed to sell 2018 plans through 11/30/2018 for an effective date no later than 12/01/2018.
AHIP Remains a Requirement for Certification and Recertification
2019 AHIP is required for both 2019 Certification and 2019 Recertification. Agents typically take their AHIP through Humana after they have logged into training from our Humana site. If an agent goes directly to AHIP they must have their AHIP results sent to Humana before they can continue completing their certification or recertification.
For those agents required to pay the AHIP registration fee, the 2019 charge is $125, if the training is accessed via the Humana MarketPoint University.
If you do not successfully recertify by November 30, 2018, you will be decertified as of December 1, 2018. Per CMS regulations, no renewal commissions can be paid to agents who are decertified.
Your final 2018 Certification exam will come from the 2019 MAPD/PDP Field Agent Reference Manual.
